Jian Zhang is the founder and CEO of a Stealth Model startup working on single-use endoscopes. The company started full operations in February 2017. He recruited a multifunctional team and obtained the FDA clearance for a single use endoscope system within 14 months of operations. The team conducted the first in human (FIM) study at Stanford and validated the product with more than a dozen physicians. The company owns several patents on single-use endoscopes and has established a supply chain for producing single-use endoscopes at volume with very low cost.
